By the time you're reading this, you have probably already read through our product descriptions and know a little bit about BioThane!
BioThane is a trademarked artificial material made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. The material itself is made up of strong rubber coated webbing that has the look and feel of leather! The inside is a polyester webbing surrounded with a coating of TPU or PVC.
There are so many benefits to BioThane, the main ones being its waterproof nature and how easy it is to clean! So if your dog likes to go through water, mud or any other suspicious liquid (mainly fox poo) then this is the material you need for your dogs accessories!
BioThane has been specifically manufactured to follow regulatory guidelines meaning that it will not harm dogs. There are many types of 'waterproof webbing' but please be assured to know that we only use genuine BioThane, which has a softer and more flexible texture and feel when it is compared too PVC waterproof webbing.
In addition to it waterproof nature, BioThane holds antimicrobial properties which makes it so much easier to keep clean, with no chance of the material rotting, becoming mouldy or withholding any odours (especially for those dogs who love to roll in fox poo).
