Our brand reps are a big part of the business and in fact, we couldn't run the business without them!
Growing up I had MSN, Bebo and generally only used Facebook so that I could check on my Farmville animals (feeling old writing this!)... nowadays social media is the biggest platform for businesses, to promote, sell and engage with current and prospective customers.
Fast forward 10+ years from my Farmville days, we have a social media platform for everything, and if you use it for business, blogs or use it in other ways to promote yourself, there are pressures that come with it! I won't lie, I have felt the pressures myself, I even deleted some of my personal socials to prevent my mental health from worsening, worrying about the quality of my content and the amount of time I was spending scrolling on my phone!
This is why with our brand reps, we take a very relaxed approach! We don't set targets for weekly/monthly posts, or how many times they need to talk about the brand, we don't expect them to buy every new product that comes out or respond to our messages instantly. It's not realistic and in my opinion, it's not fair.
What we do ask, is that our brand reps have fun with the products! That if they get a great photo out on a walk, or a silly video of their dog rolling around in the mud, they tag us in these (if our products are being used), for which we are very grateful.
Being a brand rep, does come with perks...
- Our reps get 50% off their personal orders, whether that's standard or custom items
- 15% off code for their social media followers to use at checkout
- Added to our rep chat on Instagram, full of a wonderful and supportive team
- Have an input with ideas, designs, new products and more (this is not a requirement)
- Get to test new products and give their feedback (again, this is not a requirement, it is offered and if reps want to give them a go they can)
